Doctors office called with my blood test results from my glucose tolerance test. Don't have diabetes, but I am anemic. 325mg of iron 3x a day. I guess it could be worse but still kinda bummed out.
Also more helpful information! I knew none of that! They didn't even tell me what my level was. How it would make me feel. Not to have dairy an hour before or after. Everything you just told me is brand new information to me! Thank you sooo much!! @sarahemccormick
No problem! I love to help where I am able to. I figured I would pass that info along in case you didn't know, so Im glad I could help 😊 Also, the iron supplements could make you feel pretty sick, and they usually do....so if you need to eat when you take them, feel free. Taking them with plain water is never good, it can make you feel more nauseated. I hope you have better luck than I do when it comes to the nausea aspect. At least they caught it so you can begin treatment now. Do you know what your level was? Mine was 10.7 when they caught mine. They want it in the 12's. Idk what mine is at right now, but I have been on the meds for about 3 weeks now. I can definitely tell the difference when I don't take them as opposed to when I do. I feel like poop and so exhausted without them, and if I miss a dose I also notice I don't feel that great.
Oh my goodness, thank you! They didn't even tell me that! They didn't tell me anything really. Just that I'm anemic and have to take the meds. Thank you so much @sarahemccormick
Hey hun, I am also anemic taking 325 mg 2x a day. Make sure you have no dairy for an hour before and an hour after taking it, or it can block absorption. Also, take it with a glass of OJ or grapefruit juice each time, it will absorb better into the body. Xo
