Trying to decide on my birth plan. I'm reconsidering having an epidural...I've been told that pictocin? before epidural is given makes contractions way more painful then they should be to speed things up. Could any ladies share their experiences on labor and pain management? what are other pain medications other than epidural?

@foleytwins, yeah same with my mom she had the 3 of us with epidurals no problem. @katarama , laughing gas huh? Ig I'm just gona need to do some research on it.
I've had epidurals with my last three pregnancies and I plan on having one this time too. Pitocin does speed it up but I didnt think it made it anymore painful, but that's just me.
In my experience it helps the pain not be as bad without it. But you can still feel it almost like a lot of pressure. But my last pregnancy they put it in too late and I felt everything. It was awful.
They also do pain meds through IV and laughing gas. I'm doing laughing gas if it's offered where I'm at because I don't like the thought of an epidural.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

But since last two days am not having good feeling....I just feel something is wrong inside wid d kid...all my symptoms r too less
Morning sickness is gone....Metallic taste of my tounge is also less....and I feel pain in my abdoman twice or thrice which is very minor though
