Today is finally the day I get see my baby!!!!! Long story short... @ least I'll try to make it that way.. Soon as I found out i was pregnant I set an doctors appointment with my primary doctor. Who also delivered my daughter. @ that appointment I was 7 weeks. @ that visit my pregnancy was confirmed ,and was told to come back in four week to start the blood work etc.... So on the next visit i had blood work done and a pap. Which i felt like everything was rushed!!! I wasn't even given the time to ask questions ,but did so anyway.. mind you by now I'm 11 weeks.. I haven't heard my baby heart beat or had an ultrasound. So I asked her when would i be able to. She told me on my next visit which would make me 15 to 16 weeks that i get to hear the heart beat then @ 20 weeks I'll get my ultrasound... OH HELL NO! This is not my 1st go round being pregnant. None of that sounded right to me. That appointment was on a Friday so that following Monday I called an obgyn to make sure that I wasn't tripping. She was like no ma'am you're supposed to be going to an obgyn not your primary. I failed to tell her that she is a family practitioner who delivered my 1st born ,and continued to see her afterwards.. who is now 4 years old. The nurse @ the obgyn told me I was supposed to get an ultrasound on my 1st visit to make sure everything looks good in there ,and to make sure the baby is measuring correctly along with the date of my last period. Needless to say i went ahead and set up an appointment with that obgyn ,and will be finding a new doctor for me and my child so we can get the proper care. I just hate it went that way cause I've been going to her for years!!! On a happier note I get to see my baby today yay!!! 👏👏👏👏👏

Yes! I was so disappointed in her I seen her my entire pregnancy with my daughter ,and the procedure was way different then how she was trying to handle it this time.
Yea they definitely should have done an ultrasound already. That's the only way to see that the pregnancy is in your uterus and not your tubes or anything dangerous. They're supposed to check the babies heart rate to make sure everything is ok as long as you're at least six weeks which you were. I don't get why they didn't unless they just got careless. But it's good you made an appointment with an ob who obviously wants you to have the care you need ☺
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
You guys dont judge but i also need some feedbck...well im almost 15 weeks and just now about to have my 1st ob appointment and i had a ultrasound done via the hospital when i was 6 weeks what are the chances of me having another coming up with this on this appointment ?
So I just found out that my husband is sleeping with my sister and they are making fun of me.
I think after my appointment tomorrow I'm switching obgyns.
i'm getting my baby circumcised tomorrow & it makes me so sad. i want to do it but i don't want to see him hurting :( makes me cry every time i think about it
@baby21986, as bad as it is some doctors just get a little too comfortable and become careless. I just got a new ob with this pregnancy which I wasn't to sure about at first but now I love going there. I get an ultrasound at each visit where I go and they're awesome. I absolutely loved my last one who did the same with ultrasound and stuff until the end when I didn't even see my ob while I was in labor except maybe 15mins total. So I understand the feeling.
