Just what I was told. My fiancés cousins wife dyed her hair once a month why pregnant and often dyed others hair and her baby came out with all of its organs outside its chest they are having to do surgery to fix it. The doctor claims not to know if it was the hair dying that did it or what.

I used any. I wasn't told a specific one, but I know at like hair salons if you're pregnant they'll use ammonia free. All the ones I have used while pregnant say ammonia free as well, but those are just the ones I grabbed. I've also bleached my hair while pregnant. As long as you aren't breathing it in and in a really closed off room, it doesn't matter really.

@kaatelynn8562, dont use anything with bleach in it. and get as little as possible on your skin

it's fine, just be in a well ventilated area.
