I've read that too but I don't see a gap on mine I mean it's hollowed out in the picture so I could wash it but I couldn't find one @skyfullofstars344

I'd suggest returning it and getting a newer model I will research more today but what I've read is that the gap between the baseboard and the side was not safe and killed multiple babies who had slipped into that space and could not free themselves and ultimately suffocated. They were forced to come up with a repair or replacement but they are also made in another country. I do not know how they handle such large recalls. Also the company that makes these has been around forever. I just read a lot of articles about them fighting over how to handle it and haven't located an official site that says anything definite.

That's exactly what I'm worried about I can't find my exact model I don't see any date or anything like that but if it is one of the ones that have issues I have to return it within 7 days @skyfullofstars344

it's a beautiful piece ..does it have a manufacturer code and a date? The reason I ask is they had some issues with some of the models causing death in some infants because of a design flaw.
