Not pregnancy related but does anyone know how to train a cat? I don't wanna listen to my grandma complain anymore and she constantly overthinks things. If the cat goes behind the couch she automatically thinks he's gonna play with the lamp cord then goes on about her new lamp better not get broken. I tried explaining to her that when she was at my moms she loved sleeping behind the couch but she just doesn't wanna hear it. The cat can't roam the house at night cause she thinks something is gonna get broke (we really don't have anything out that could get broke) so the cat has to sleep in my room and my boyfriend takes her downstairs to eat and drink 2-3 times a night just so she doesn't go to the bathroom in here. Any ideas please.! We have tried to show her by raising our voice not to go somewhere or do something but a cat needs one commander until they are trained an my grandma and David won't let me do it.

spray the kitty with a water bottle best way to train it, also when kitty does something you like praise her with a rub down or treats @rainbowbaby2015

Agree with the spraying part! Also try little treats when the cat does something good or listens to whatever you're trying to teach it. If you have the money for a bigger dog cage that could comfortably fit the cat, kitty litter, and food that might help your boyfriend at night then the water bottle could help during the day. Just make sure to keep the litter and food/water on opposite ends.
