I started out breast feeding but it just wasn't working out very well, and I found it better all the way around to pump. So I've strictly been pumping since my son was about half a week old (three weeks ago) and I'm suddenly barely pumping any at all and my breasts are tender and sore. Could it be because I was sick a couple days ago, or is something else going on? And what can I do to produce more? I have some Fenugreek tea ordered, but it hasn't come in yet. Just looking for something in the mean time or in addition to that. Please help!! I reallyyyy don't want to switch to formula.

I'm not able to give an answer I'm sorry but this exact thing happened to me and it was so sudden almost over night it felt like. I couldn't fix it and had to switch to formula! I've been working to get it back but it's hard. eat a lot of oatmeal. that's what's been my biggest help

How long have you been dealing with it?

I've heard oatmeal and lots of water helps a lot.

Well I usually pump probably like 3-4 times a day (full bottles). But now it's just been 1-2 and only half a bottle each time. And my breasts just look empty. I've been breast feeding since pumping is pretty much pointless now, and he seems to be getting milk.. I'm just really worried

I switched to pumping only as well. my son was like, a week old. he had major latching problems so I just pumped. I pumped every 2 hours during the day and every 4 hours at night and I took fenugreek as well as lots of water and massages and I dried completely up within a month and a half.
everyone's body is different, but my doctor told me that if you don't have a baby on your breast at all then it's alot harder to keep a supply.

Pump more often. You want to try to pump as often as baby would nurse. And babies around this age will cluster feed. So pump pump pump. It will signal your body to make more milk. Keep up with water too. Lots of skin to skin while pumping if you can ❤️

And put him to breast often. He's more efficient than a pump. You've got this.
