Okay mommies I'm sorry if this is long but I need to rant about something... so I have food stamps (please don't judge me, my fiance is the only one currently working and I do my part by contributing by cleaning the house, and taking care of our daughter for the time being) but I haven't gotten my food stamps for January yet; even tho I reapplied in time in December. the thing is my worker claims I didn't bring enough proof for my daughter so I need to bring proof of that before I get my food stamps for this month... but here's the thing that pisses me off.... I did last month I have proof of that in a documentation requirement receipt that the person gave me when I went there to turn in my reapplication thing last month... I think it's just my worker being lazy and/or loosing shit of mine. this shit happens every month... every month there's something that "I didn't do the previous month that needs to be done before I get my food stamps for the month" it's seriously gotten to the point where I'm about to tell them I want to request a new worker who will actually do their job and be able to give me my money in time cuz as of right now I've been living off my wic checks and the little money that my fiance and I have left after we pay all our bills (sometime we have to even not pay bills to make sure we have food and stuff for the baby in the house) it's frustrating and it pisses me off that social services will make sure all the damn welfare people (sorry if any of you mommies are on welfare please don't take offense) get their money first when there are people like me who can work but at the same time cant because they don't have a reliable baby sitter for their son/daughter so they have to stay home while their significant other works and busts their ass at work to make sure they have enough money to provide for their families.. I just don't know what to do anymore it's like everything I do or try to do goes wrong when it comes to social services... ugh end rant!!!

No one is judging you for having food stamps, your providing for your child and family, and that's what is important! I would DEFINITELY request a new worker! Some of those workers can be serious assholes! I know people who would never get their food stamps and cash aid on time which would cause them to be late paying bills and not be able to have food in their house at certain times and then their workers would never answer the phone or return calls. Your supposed to get it on the same day each month, and if you aren't then there's an issue! To my knowledge, once you've been approved then you shouldn't have to be showing more paperwork each month, here in California you only have to reshow paperwork and stuff once a year! I'm pretty sure it should be the same everywhere. If I were you I would call the food stamps office or whoever deals with it, and I would request to speak with a supervisor, tell them everything that's going on and tell them you want a new worker! Don't let them mess around with you, it isn't fair! You deserve equal treatment and you rely on that money so it isn't right for your working to be pulling this shit, if you complain you will get your way!
