so update - I broke down and tested - of course it was negative-in praying I just tested too early but I've been crying on and off all day- and my daughters father just had a new baby and she's so excited and everytime she talks about it I get so sad and jealous but I hide it because she deserves to be excited about being a big sister - it's just really heartbreaking

I tested negative with a first response when it was a week before my missed period. On the day I was supposed to get my period I took another test and it was positive. Sometimes the hormone isn't strong enough for a pee test to detect. Keep your head up and be patient. I know it's so hard but it will happen. don't worry love it will happen soon just be patient my husband's kids mom had a kid last year and they were kinda happy lol and talk about being big sister and big big brother all the time and now it's our turn we haven't said anything to them yet but we will soon so keep your hopes up and don't give up

I'm not sure how early you tested hun, but my pregnancy test took till after a week of missing my period in order to test positive. I was upset about it until after a week of no period. It will happen. Give it time and if you don't already, download a period app such as MyDays X. It helped me get pregnant by doing the deed my whole fertile window. It was hell by the end of it but totally worth it. And don't give up. I tried for three months until I finally succeeded.

Trust me. I've known women who have tried for years(medical assistant job) and they felt like giving up. Before I knew it, they'd be calling for their first OB appt. It takes time. And if you're worried that you're not fertile or feel as if you're ready to give up, they do have...what's it called..like solutions(not liquid, but problem solving) that can help make you fertile and stuff. So its not the end. There's still a chance. ^•^ I wish you the best of luck and for a positive test anyday now.

you are very right I do know I CAN at least get pregnant - I have a 4 year old from a previous relationship it's just harder due to pcos
