I honestly think its the best way to go, i plan to do the same with this baby :) Of course after we know the gender lol
Same here we will all be ok and nursery will be all set, I'm a Kdg teacher btw
@ashleyhenson, My shower is at 32 weeks as well and that's what I want to do! :)
I started at 25 weeks, I don't work so I had a lot of time on my hands and it was all I thought about, my goal was to have it completely done by my shower at 32 weeks, so I could just put away the gifts and wait on baby boy!
@gordgirlorboy, I work full time too as a preschool teacher :) I have been working on things in my spare time! Just haven't gotten big things going yet. But yes! @_mommyoftwo_ that's kind of how I want to do it. Just be able to add as I go!
Whenever your ready, i did my sons super early because i was always home while hubby was at work and i was bored haha and anytime someone would get something for him i would just add it to the room. It all came together :)
well it's nice that you all had that extra time but it's a little harder when you're working full time, nothing wrong with setting up the room etc around 30 weeks especially when you haven't had your baby shower yet and the essentials will be from there
@twinmamma2015, I'm hoping for that as well. I'm definitely going to stick with my plan! 👌🏼
it's definitely a relief when everything is done and you can just enjoy the last of your pregnancy
@twinmamma2015, yes that's exactly how I want it to be for us as well!!!
Haha I did the same thing I had our bags packed, birthing plan, room done and cleaned multiple times lol all by like 32 weeks, spent the last t weeks focusing on the boys and making sure they stayed in till 37 weeks lol
@twins9016, @twinmamma2015 Exactly! Plus, I'm the type of person who always has to make sure things are done well before needed or I go insane freaking out over it and worrying it won't get done. If I can have it done by week 30 then I can spend the last few weeks just focusing on baby and I! And not worrying over if he'll have a place to sleep in when he comes home.
exactly, and when the room is done then if you find things for decoration you can always grab it, and then you realize what you still need.
no problem I always say do what u feel is best.....specially if u think u might go early... better to b ready
@twinmamma2015 that's my thoughts on it. I want to make sure everything is done by 30 weeks just in case I went early!
@mandylyn, @twins9016 @gordgirlorboy Thank you mommas :) I'm 20 weeks Monday. My fiancé and I have just started discussing all of it and I mentioned to a family member of his that I was planning on starting it in the next few weeks and she acted like I was crazy! Lol. My plan is to have all of the major things done to the nursery by week 30. Both of our families have a history of delivering early and I have a lot of stuff going on in those last 10 weeks so I want everything to be done and ready so I don't have to worry about it!
I had my boys room 100% done 26 weeks... but I wanted to be prepared incase the boys came early
started painting in December , just got furniture yesterday, my shower is next weekend and I'm due March 20th :)
