Is it too late to try to start breastfeeding my 8 day old baby? I can only get her to take one side and when she does she just sucks on it sometimes like a binky and isn't actually eating. Idk what to do :(

Squeeze a little milk out before getting her to latch to get things going for her. Once she latches, squeeze again to give her a "big bite" (as the pediatrician calls it), but obviously not too much. If she takes to it, feel free to repeat the "big bite" as necessary for latching when she isn't feeling it. If she only takes a bottle and still isn't interested, try pumping milk and giving it to her that way. Keep trying to get her to latch at each feeding.
I would say keep trying. Are you still producing milk? maybe try squeezing your boob while she is latched on.
