Hi Everyone, I keep getting sharp tightenings at the top of belly like a bad stitch, are these contractions or braxton…

after having them for 2 hours they seem to be dying down now, noooooo lol I thought this was it, naughty baby lol thank you everyone for your advice anyway xx

If you have more than 4 in an hour then you're supposed to call up, that's what I've been told anyway xx

your suppose to have 3-4 contractions every 10 minutes i think then you are in established labour thats what I over heard the midwife saying to a girl in hospital the other day as she was only having 1 in every 10 min's so she got sent home. fingers crossed for you hun keep.us updated xx

@darciepenny, I'm going to start timing them now then x

Ive been having these all week @blossom23, my midwife at the hospital just suggest timing them and when you can't breath through them it's time to call x

Oh did she, yeah I'm getting a dull pain at the bottom of my belly like a period just starting out , but the pain at the top of my belly is worse x

I think contractions can start at the top yes. My friend had them at the top and then they moved down the the bottom (like where you get period pains) x
