Like am I the ONLY person here willing to go past their due date to make sure their baby is healthy?
everyone else I see due the same week as me are set to be induced before their due date or exactly on.
my doctor has offered multiple time but if my baby ain't ready then she ain't ready and I'm not forcing her out unless medically required. I just don't see a reason to get induced honestly.

same here. my babys tummy was measuring a few weeks behind so i was set to be induced just a few days early but she ended up coming on her own that same morning lol. but i dont understand how some women at like 37 weeks are trying to jumpstart labor. like no. baby isnt ready. oh and castor oil is so bad. i read this post some girl made about her cousin or something and the baby might not make it. the few extra weeks you might get with the baby are so not worth the chance of hurting or losing him or her.

I would keep her in as long as she wanted if I wasn't in so much pain I can't keep anything down. I was supposed to be induced yesterday but for 3 days I've been feeling better so I canceled.

I agree 100%, I've been wondering if induction has become a trend lol its been so popular with a lot of people i know or come across and it doesnt make sense your baby comes naturally and when baby is ready Ive heard that it should be a last resort

@babychloe, I know who you're talking about, I think the little girls name is cahmila (I may be off a little) but no one EVER listens when to tell them Castor oil is NOT safe. they all say "well I did it and my baby is fine" like good for you, here's a cookie, now shut up and stop putting other people's kids lives in danger!
@bengsmom10 I'm a few days shy of 40 weeks, my belly measures 33 weeks, and I've been offered to be induced yesterday actually because I passed a kidney stone and was in so much pain I couldn't get out of bed, but then I got a good night of sleep and the pain dulled down significantly the next day so I was able to get up and get back to my normal life and didn't feel the need to go in for induction. but my baby is healthy, and I deal with pain every single day of my life (I have a failing kidney) so I personally can't justify being induced because I'm uncomfortable. I know everyone's different, but I have a high pain tolerance.

meeee! I'm definitely thinking I'll go after 40 weeks and I am 100 percent okay with that lol I'd rather be in pain and miserable a couple more weeks then try to force her when she isn't ready and put her in stress mode to wear I have to have unnecessary interventions!!

@littlemissrainesmommy, I think my biggest thing is I don't want to be induced and risk having a c section. I can have a vaginal birth all day long without a problem, but I don't think I can handle a c section.

yeah that's what I'm really worried about... and so many studies have shown that unnecessary csections can cause problems later on... and I really want to avoid all that if possible... our bodies are made to do this so I am completely okay with waiting as long as needed for her to make her perfect entrance into this world hah

I was terrified of being induced a week early! I hated that I needed to! I was panicking the whole time and made the nicu nurses come up and triple check her O2 and such

My concern of going too long was meconium in the umbilical fluid & therefore in babys lungs which is baaad.

@butturfli, but going to your due date isn't to long. you're actually not "overdue" until 42 weeks.
