I'm 26 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I'm so excited for him to be here but honestly I feel like other moms are taking away from my joy. I feel like I see and hear so many negative things about after the baby is born that it's making me worry. They make motherhood seem terrible and I don't ever want to have that attitude about my baby or being a mother. I know it's not going to be easy but good grief, I don't know how people can have such a bad attitude about their newborn. Does anyone else hear bad things all the time? Tips on staying positive?

yes! I get told all the time that I have a reality check coming, it's so hard and I'll never get any sleep and I'll probably quit breastfeeding and blah blah fucking blah. so damn annoying!!! @carlieshep

Take the bad with the good! there will be bad days but they don't last forever. and even if things seem to suck when you look in your babies eyes you seem to forget about all the bs that's been going on. Don't let anything steal your joy from you.

I feel like every time I post something positive on Facebook about my pregnancy, I get the "oh girl, just wait until you have to deal with...." comments. It gets so old!! @graham2016

well like I said you gonna have your bad days, your gonna get frustrated BUT that is only temporary and your baby is worth it, I get frustrated and over tired but when they smile and laugh you forget about all that
