Ok I saw something on here about eating the placenta... Wait? What?? Eating the placenta? I'm so lost.. Was this a joke or do I need to get on my research?!
you have to tell your doctor that's what you want to do then find someone I. your area who makes them. you can ask your obgyn office if they recommend any. search placenta encapsulation for your area
Hospitals won't offer it, but some doulas will! You can always bring it home and freeze it too until you want to have it done.
@kmally, well that's a benefit especially when having issues is there a certain time frame that it is good for?
@may4jessie, oh ok @alyssavaldez do they offer it or it's something you have to request it?
It can also help regulate your milk supply!
No people have been doing it for years! we are rhe only "mammals" who don't eat our placenta. there are a bunch of other ways that you can take it but pill form is thr most popular
@alyssavaldez, @kermi86 @may4jessie oh ok is this relatively new?
apparently there are many ways to take in your placenta. in the animal world they all eat it because of the benefits to the body. some women eat it, take it in pill form, or in a shake. alot of the moms in my mommy class are going to take it in pill form
tou can have it turned into pills. amazing for your post partum health! we are doing it the second time around!
@kermi86, oh really? It sounds disgusting what are the rumors?
not a joke but also not proven to have any benefits whatsoever
Anterior placenta?
I found out yesterday, at my 20 week scan, that I have an anterior placenta and won't feel my baby kick as much due to it. Not until late pregnancy. Anyone else have the same thing? If so, when did you feel your baby kick?

Sooooooo who plans on eating their placenta?

can anybody tell me what side the placenta Is on? pic was when I was 7 weeks
Why do people eat placenta?
I hate having an anterior placenta.
Ok thanks ladies @kmally @alyssavaldez
