So my BF got in trouble with his parents because he borrowed money from his dad and yesterday was payday for him and he was crying broke. He told his dad he'd pay him back on Wednesday of next week.....problem is he doesn't get paid Wednesday of next week....I do! I get paid my unemployment next Wednesday so it won't be a hefty amount but it will be enough to get me through until I go back to work and get my normal pay. I don't like the fact that he's volunteering my money without discussing it with me, and on top of that, I found out the real reason he can't afford anything is because he only makes $5 an hour at his job with the possibility of tips which he isn't getting. I've gotten him countless callbacks from jobs that offer $9, $10, $11, and $12 an hour and he's turned them all down saying he has faith in his jobs potential. I told him to quit because it's not worth it, he's not making much money at all, he already has child support coming outta his check, and I'm due in 7 weeks and I'm on a temporary layoff which could turn into my maturnity leave. So far my unemployment is doing everything but it isn't much and I have to prepare for this baby. He only wants to keep this job because it's downtown working with a bunch of rich people. He just stands there doing nothing all day because the restaurant he works at doesn't have a good menu. I've told him that all this is depressing me because I need him to pick up the slack financially and not just depend on me! We can't afford for him to have faith in his job right now....He's been there since August and has barely made anything! What should I do? I'm at my wits end!!
