QUESTION!! I have a friend that is willing to sell me her Medela breastpumps. Is it safe to reuse it after she's already used it? I'll sanitize it really good and stuff of course. What's other mommies opinions?

Technically most Medelas are open systems and should not be reused by more than one person because the insides can't properly be sanitized. That being said--I know a lot of mommies that did reuse them. If you did--sanitize all the parts you can and purchase new tubing and shields.

I wouldn't hesitate to take it. I feel like it can all be easily sanitized.

Yes just buy new breast shields for ur breast size & tubing ..

I've got a second hand Medela pump. I sanitized everything, and got new tubing (technically only air goes through the tubing but better safe right?). Never had any issues 😉

insurance is required to cover them for you for free... I'd just get a new one.. not hospital grade though
