Just wondering, if I was unable to produce enough milk for my son. How likely am I to be able to…

I'm in the same boat. I really want to be able to breast feed my next, but had such a low supply with my son. I'm worried

I bought this for clogged ducts because I thought that was my problem with my son, but I'm going to take them as soon as baby born

having too low of a supply is pretty rare, usually it happens because of falling for booby traps. just assume you can do it, don't doubt yourself. you should be fine. and don't try to fix it unless it actually becomes a problem

you can also try mothers milk tea i noticed an increase in my supply just drinking one glass been trying to do the recommended 3 a day

@kerragannicole, its been working for me my boobs went from just enough to feed him I actually thought wasnt getting enough but he gaining weight like he should but now they are back to leaking and always feeling super full so im able to pump full bottles and still nurse him

I didn't/couldn't breastfeed for my first born. The combination of low birth weight & losing too much weight within a couple days of life, inverted nipples, lil guy not latching on, not thinking I was producing enough... I only breastfed for a couple days and only pumped for about 2 weeks. My second baby was born very prematurely but the hospital I was at was super supportive- I started pumping right away and while he was in the nicu they let me put him to breast more often, and when we left the nicu we were able to breastfeed! It's so much more demanding than formula feeding, more exhausting, more of a pain in the ass but it is SOOOOO worth it. And even if you can't do it, at least you know you tried.
