do I look at the week in advance ? like I made 11 weeks today so on my pregnancy app do I start looking at the 12th week or the 11th week?

Please help! My doctor is trying to induce me before 40 weeks because she's going to be off on my due date and says my placenta is starting to look old. How do I get labor started?? I don't want to be induced for no reason and I'm thinking I won't have a choice. Please help. What do I do to get things going?
