Going to be honest here I was a very heavy smoker prior to conceiving I smoked twice in my pregnancy I've seen people smoke all through their pregnancy and babies are fine but let's be logical here there is not enough testing or evidence to prove if there are harmful effects on a fetus and in my opinion I wouldn't risk my child's health I suffered with severe morning sickness I lost 14 pounds in the beginning Of my pregnancy and never once did I use marijuana as a means to calm my nausea I would personally never ever risk anything happening to my growing baby when we just don't know what can happen it's like saying woman smoke cigarettes their whole pregnancy and baby is fine but the next woman will smoke and her baby will come early or have breathing issues its not worth the luck of the draw when it comes to our children

@theirmommy_2, that's when I smoke. It definitely helps with nausea. And I get HORRIBLE nausea that I'm running to the bathroom 6-8 times a day. Not to mention, while at work. Can't keep anything down. Let alone, water or saltine crackers. They prescribed me nausea pills and they didn't work. I do it so I can be able to eat 😑

I'm Just Going To Tell You Based Off What I Seen . My Friend Mom Smoked Weed With All 3 Of Her Kids & Their All Smart And Honor Roll Students. My SO Brothers Baby Mother Smoked During Her Pregnancy And Her Daughter Just Is Smaller Than Other Babies But She Is Now Smarter Than Most One Year Olds. The Only Scientific Evidence They Have On Smoking While Pregnant Is It Effected The Birth Weight And Your Child Might Have ADHD . I Never Really Seen Anything Too Dramatic That Was Caused By Smoking But It Could Be. I'm Just Speaking On What I've Seen.

I did it when I was pregnant for.neasuea and back pains and most states it is legal now my ob knew I smoked and he told me.to stop by six months which I did my son is super smart and didnt ever go through withdrawals there is not enough medical evidence it helps or harms the baby. my mom smoked everyday when pregnant with me and I have never had issues growing up

There is actually no medical evidence to prove weed harms a baby in any way. I don't personally smoke, but I have a lot of friends who did through entire pregnancies and it helped with morning sickness and their babies came out perfect! I may be biased but I also think their babies are happier and calmer lol!

No one knows for sure the affects on the baby since there isn't great evidence. You can tell her that almost all obgyn and clinics drug test multiple times during pregnancy.

Agree with @mom13, there simply isn't enough evidence out there to make an informed decision. Her best bet would be to quit and not risk it.

unfortunately in all honesty there isnt enough evidence to prove or disprove if it safe or not so she shouldn't honestly chance it and i hate when people say shit they arent sure of them selves i have seen positive and negative comments on this but no real hard concrete evidence

Like any drug.. If she continues the baby will develop an addiction and it can mess with the baby's growth. Her best bet is to stop smoking now.

how far along is she? I was a heavy smoker before I found out I was pregnant and smoked twice after that I told my Dr and they said it was ok and to just not smoke any more. a lot of women smoke very far into their pregnancy and their babies are ok in not saying for her to keep smoking but I don't think the baby is in any real danger.
