Can someone give me some advice please?
Basically my little boy is 5 days old and has been on cow and gate infant formula since born but recently he has started bringing his feeds back up. He had a 3oz bottle I give him 1oz wind him then he wants more if I give him more it comes back up or sometimes he can manage to keep it down until i wind him. he is very unsettled, he can't settle him self to sleep he is very windy (farts) pooing quite a bit. He is also jaundice so we are trying to get that out of his system as u can imagine that's hards when he just brings it back up. I'm thinking of trying cow and gate comfort as I've read that is good for unsettled baby's? He is also small he was 7lb 1oz when born but is now 6lb 12oz. Midwifes have told me to just keep trying but I'm literally so shattered he is feeding every 1-2 hours because of this.

sorry I must of missed the bit where u mentioned the milk. Yeah it's the same as the aptamil one and it has helped my son. he was waking in night every 2hrs crying and trumping loads but now he's gone back to just waking once from going to bed at 7pm xx
my son suffered loads of wind on aptamil 1 and hungry baby. I've switched him onto colic and constipationaptamil (comfort) and it's not eliminated it but has helped alot. I think cow and gate do one and it's from birth. Yeah I agree @zaralee71 daylight us best cure for mild jaundice xx
Best way to help jaundice is to place his crib or Moses basket by a window to let the sun get to him. Regarding feeds, it might be a good idea to get him checked by a doctor to see if he has reflux, which will cause him to be sick alot during feeds.
When can I start giving my son regular milk? He turns 10 months in 2 days. I bought unsweetened almond milk yesterday so he can try. Would that be okay? I’m lowkey tired of him on formula but I mean he’s still a baby lol.

the agreement between my son's dad and I, is every Tuesday he picks him up in the mornings and bring him back by 9pm. he's been following the rules for the past 3 weeks, before then he was a deadbeat and not seeing him at all. now today is Tuesday and here is is damn near 5pm and he calls and says he gonna pick him up tonight and bring him back tomorrow. my son has never spent a night hes only 1 and we are not about to start so i told him no. .Absolutely not who does he think he is changing up...
3oz is a lot for such a young baby. Try little but more often! Their tummy and diaphragm aren't quite developed yet and that's why lots of very young babies bring up food. My baby sure did! You're probably doing that already but try to feed on demand. Much like BF their appetite is all over the place at that stage. Don't worry too much. It may not be colic. Your LO is probably just very hungry (as mine was) and his appetite is bigger than his tummy. Good luck. Ax
