for the past two weeks we've been waking up at 1:50 a.m. and again at 5:30 a.m.πŸ˜‘ I don't understand why all of a sudden we have such a hard time sleeping through the night? anyone have any advice? I'm currently letting her cry it out but its not quieting down.

My daughter did that and we started feeding her more solids throughout the day. It seemed to help a lot. And I agree about suggesting not to let them cry it out. I read that because of the stress hormones it actually makes it harder for them to fall back asleep. Try with the Tylenol if she wakes up next time. :)

I would give her Tylenol... when she wakes up if she is teething she might be in enough pain to not be able to go back to sleep on her own.

hmm ok. I know she is teething. but the doctors told me not to feed her when she wakes up during the night because I'm training her body to wake up at that time to feed. so I'm just confused. I went in there a while ago and gave her a pacifier and adjusted her blankets

It's most likely a growth spurt of some kind, really all you can do is feed often and give the comfort that they need, they will get through it and go back to normal before you know it! I strongly suggest against the CIO method, it can cause long term effects, including distrust and anxiety, because even when the baby stops crying cortisol (stress hormone) levels continue to rise, and they learn that no one is coming to help, not that they can self sooth...this is information from countless articles I've read, but I'm not judging you for your decision as a parent! Plenty of people have used the method sparingly and their kids turned out just as fine as kids who didn't have the method used on them, I'm just relaying information on the studies I've read 😊 but definitely I suggest to just be patient, give extra love and feedings, and this too shall pass πŸ˜„

she is 7 months. she is very atratched to her dad and he is over seas at the time. so that could have something to do with it. also she is cutting a new tooth.

She's probably teething or maybe she needs a little more to eat before bed. Adding a lot of rice to my sons formula seems to keep him fuller for longer overnight without it being to much liquid for him
