Well thank you! It was hell but now that he's here and I hear him giggle and smile it's like it never happened.

I can't wait to try again when I have another baby. I ended up losing my supply a month after he got to come home because I wasn't pumping enough while he was in the NICU. But waking up in the middle of the night to an alarm to pump when your depressed because your baby isn't with you was so horrible. Breastmilk is so amazing though that's why I tried so hard

@josephsmomma2015, I have an oversupply right now so its even more important to me that I pump.

@josephsmomma2015, that's me. I don't breastfeed a lot because she's only able to latch onto one of my boobs so I HAVE to pump for the most part. ill be sure to keep up w. my pumpings. thank you so much. that scares me so much!!

Yeah if you aren't breastfeeding at all, meaning no baby to mom contact then you have to pump like every two hours on the dot. It was horrible. I wasn't allowed to actually breastfeed cause he couldn't even eat on his own yet. It was crazy

It happened twice and I didn't give up because my son was in the NICU. I knew he needed it so I pushed myself to keep on doing it. I woke up one night with a fever and throwing up and my left boob was solid as a rock and nothing would come out when I tried to pump, but I knew it was sooooo full. I sat in the shower crying for hours. Hot cloths and hot showers are the only thing that helps it come out. Had to be put on antibiotics and everything.

Make sure you never miss a pump session or a feeding. What the doctors and nurses don't tell you is that you can get mastitis. And it was seriously worse then having my son. Sometimes the milk gets stuck in there and causes an infection.

right now I have to pump every 3 to 4 hours and yes they feel like they've been hit by a train oil 😅😩 @priscmv92

How often do you pump? and how do you know when you need to? do they start to hurt??
