but that is such a pretty name! its not common, so she definitely has a unique name! I've had a few picked out for awhile and every time i bring it up, somebody hates on it! but whatever we're having, either boy or girl, will have the names we've vhosen regardless. it just makes me angry, sometimes.

Dont ask their opinion and dont tell them the name until baby is born. By then.. their opinions wont matter!

Either don't tell or just have a strong idgaf attitude about it. That happened to me & with the name I currently have for my daughter no one can change my mind because I'm not letting them get the best of me & I'm her mother not them.

Don't ask for anyone's opinions anymore girly. If you like a name then try it on for size. If you can picture using it when asking him to pick up his toys or to come inside for dinner. Fuck them. Unique names grow on people. No one ever likes them at first.

Just like you said, it's your kid! All that matters is that you're happy with the name. I think their comments are rude and inconsiderate. We picked out our little ones name and then just started telling people what it is instead of asking and it went pretty easy for us.
