So I met this bartender today who also happened to be pregnant and she was telling me about Medicaid. Right now I'm under my moms insurance and every dctr visit I have to pay a $35 co pay then when I go for my gender sonogram I'll have to pay anything from $100-200 depending on which one I get. She was telling me that Medicaid reimburses you for every dollar you spend while pregnant and is the best thing for expecting moms. Anyone currently on it and can help me further understand the benefits?
Then yeah you should be good. You will still have to file her information because she's in the house hold but it doesn't effect you. @wameria
@wameria, it would basically be like you were a room mate in your mother's house.
You will have to put your mother's info but if your over 22 then whatever she makes doesn't count towards you. Everything gets separated at age 22 and whatever you make is the only thing they take into consideration.
I'm on it as well....everything is free at charge..the most I pay is $1 for certain prescriptions.. go to ur local social services office
I have it, I dont have to pay for any doctor visits or ultrasounds or prescriptions. I would try and fill out the application! @wameria
And sorry to chime in on other stuff, but what is illegal? @emily18234
that's actually illigal. you have to put the info of everyone in the household.
no you have to use hers also if you live with her. but you most likely qualify still. go to healthcare.gov and search medicaid. fill out the questionnaire and it'll tell you if you qualify
See I still live with my mom and she makes a good amount of money but I'm unemployed so am I still eligible but just don't use any of her info?
Okay cool thank you @ninjamami
