So I'm 41 weeks today! 😩 I went to the baby doc yesterday and they said I'm still only dilated to 3 cm. She did a membrane sweep on my cervix and said I should get a call by the end of this week with a set date for my induction in case she doesn't come on her own. I did notice after she did my membrane sweep that my braxton Hicks contractions are getting pretty narley and coming more often so hopefully these are all good signs that baby girl will come on her own and that she'll come soon! Momma is so beyond ready to meet her princess. 💓

it feels like a pap smear. in a pap smear they do the same exact procedure. so it's different for everyone if it hurts or not. if you can handle a pap smear you can handle this :)
@kimmy153, it hurt when they did mine because my cervix is really high up. I'm not 100% sure how they do the sweep but when she went to check if I was dilated anymore she said she was doing a sweep too..
@arijane316, even if there is no pain? I just feel tightening like really hard core so idk how to tell the difference.. lol

usually after a sweep it's actual contractions and not BH contractions
My doctor said he would induce my labor at 38 weeks, if my baby girl still had growth issues and if the percentile dropped to 10 or less. Last thursday, it was 10 percentile, and he said if she didn't come on her own by 38 weeks, he would induce labor at that time. I'm 36 weeks 1 day today, he said my cervix was super thin, and 1cm dilated. Is there a possibility this can change... that my doctor will let her just come on her own? I don't want to be induced, i would much rather her come on her ...

Alright ladies! I finally progressed! I'm finally a centimeter dilated, 50-60% effaced and she's at a -3 making her way down. She's weighing 8lbs and is in the 90 percentile! ❤ Oh and she did a membrane sweep!

some women don't feel the pain for a while. is there pressure in your vagina? like you feel the need to poop or push?
