Someone told me not to get the cvs test done but I don't know if I should or not.

I think of you don't have a risk for it then you shouldn't bother with it- that's just my opinion.

Always take your doctors opinion into consideration but some tests have false positives or you may have a marker that doesn't mean anything. I know women also take those tests just to get the baby's gender early and they end up worrying for nothing. I was given the option to have my 2nd tested but I chose not to.

I did it and am so happy I did. Sure, a week of waiting but I was getting my gender results at the same time so I just kept that in the front of my mind and was fine. All turned out well but I did the NT u/s also (I'm 37 and high risk) and all turned out well. Now I feel so positive and am starting to get excited finally.

Yeah, totally up to you. If I was 20 and not high risk I'd only do it if the doctor really really thought I needed it and had the risk factors for issues it could point out. @lbedell95
