@beccastirlingx, very true I think if I did itd be when I was having a few drinks. It's horrible because there's such a stigma around it but I'll tell you something I've seen relatives with lung cancer and I've seen relatives with liver cancer both are just as bad & having a few drinks every night which most people do can cause liver problems when older! Same goes for eating too much...heart attacks! So I don't think smoking is the worst thing in the world but you've just got to keep it away from baba which most sensible people do xxx

You never know! Smoking cravings are something that stick apparently! I crave every now and then, if u do start again after babies born, don't beat yourself up. It's a hard habit to kick for good! @rachbump177 xxx

I know well that's it, it's very different for blokes it'll be funny coz I reckon once baby is here he'll be so anxious he probably won't want to. But if he does I'm cool with the vaping...it's been one of the hardest negotiations we've had to make! But good sign we managed to agree on it @beccastirlingx I've hated the smell of smoke whilst pregnant but I wonder if cravings will return afterwards. I hope not as I don't want to smoke again xxx

Exactly! It's hard to kick the habit, especially when they aren't the ones growing the baby and feeling those kicks of motivation! That was all the motivation I needed! But glad you've come to an agreement and you understand your OH! @rachbump177 xxx

@beccastirlingx, I totally get it I smoked before falling pregnant which is why I'm so understanding with my partner. We've checked and as long as he vapes outside then washes his hands and teeth when he comes in its fine. At the end of the day everyone is different but there's people who smoke all the way through pregnancy, blokes who handle babies straight after having a cig. He's smoked for so long it isn't as simple as just quitting. But it's definitely a personal choice thing and whatever you feel most comfortable with xxx

I'm an ex smoker, recently stopped. My mum and all my family smoke, they are taking it right outside and washing hands with anti-bacterial soap before coming into the house. It's just one of those things unfortunately, but my mum smoked around 60 cigs a day with me and my little sister (it was one of her weird cravings!!!!) she feels terrible about it, but we're fine and she didn't smoke around us until we where much older. @rachbump177 it all depends on you and what you feel is best! Xx

And sadly no matter how many precautions you take...things can happen hun. I see women smoking around their babies all the time in the street...and 80% of that smoke is invisible and getting inhaled by the child. X x x

Me and My partner don't smoke and no one in my house does. But I know people that do vaping. I do know it contains no tabbacco so isn't like traditional smoking. So don't know what harm it could potentially do to a baby. But personally I wouldn't even vape. He should stop doing that all together and wear nicotine patches to get his nicotine fix etc x x x
