Are there any alternative pain management for labor & delivery? I know about the epidural, but I was wondering if I can try anything else before going to that.

they can give you some pain meds that only last for about an hour at a time, they help you relax and rest, but they still allow you to be up and moving throughout labor. it doesn't make it go completely away just helps ease it a bit. most doctors won't give you any more pain meds after 6 cm though.

They can give you some kind of shot that is put into your Iv I don't remember what it's called but I was given one with my daughter so I could rest some
