I need advice... I'm 38 weeks and 3 days with my 3rd.. 5-6 cm dilated (can stretch to 6) and 90% effaced.. I'm having irregular contractions that aren't making cervical changes but my midwife stripped my membranes yesterday and I had my bloody show. I know walking and sex are probably the best things to encourage labour but I don't want to start contracting again and not make any cervical changes and be sent home because I'm not 39 weeks and really do not want have to be induced with pitocin (sp), anyone have any advice? I've tried squats, pineapple, raspberry tea, walking, exercise ball, nipple stimulation... Etc but haven't done any of it since I've been stripped again for fear of it not causing active labour

I heard Castro oil works, yeah the old time med remedy, you can try it, it's just what I heard though. take a couple gulps and see what that does.

I've heard about that also, my mother in law tried it when she was pregnant with my husband and it didn't do anything but give her a stomach ache and I read it isn't good for the baby because they could have their first BM and swallow it :/ thank you tho!!!

I'm convinced I'm going to go into labour at any minute.....I'm having contraction but they're stopping and starting. Yesterday i was having contractions all morning then by the time I got to triage to be monitored they stopped. Now this morning I was sat having breakfast with my son and they started again. But more intense and longer lasting this time. My question is do I phone triage now or do I just wait to see what happens. I feel like I'm wasting their time always ringing etc

Birth Plan Rant I used to be all about getting an epidural, but after research and thinking about it more I want to have an unmedicated birth (this is my first baby). What annoys me is when I say that I'm going to TRY my hardest to have a natural and unmedicated birth people always feel the need to say that I'm crazy or that I'm going to change my mind when I get in that position. Or that epidurals are the best. I do realize that plans change, but why can't people be supportive and encouraging?
