Is it mandatory to wash newborn clothes or can she wear them brand new?

I never washed my sons clothes unless someone gave them to us if they were brand new I didn't see a reason

I would wash them. No huge difference but babies have such sensitive skin. Anytime I buy new clothes if I'm for sure I'm gonna keep it I wash it as soon as I get home so I can get it put away and it's ready for baby to use.

I washed mine only because I don't know whose touched them, whose house they went to and were returned from, how many times they were dropped on the floor, etc. but I never used any special baby detergent, just our regular soap.

always wash new clothes. you don't know who touched them but also they spray clothing with chemicals to keep them looking nice not to mention you everything is usually stored in a warehouse...who know what could have crawled on it. I wash everything we get new and used...toys, car seats, stroller, everything. better to be safe, babies have sensitive skin.

Wash them! There skin so delicate and dust and other things. I did with my son the first 2 months!
