I go for my first ultrasound on Jan 20th. How come my doctor told me to come with a full blatter?

for what? I've already confirmed my pregnancy. it's not a doctor it's just a pregnancy clinic lol

because usually when you're kinda early it pushes everything up, so better to see the baby on ultrasound. if I'm not mistaken.

Yup, it's going to be super uncomfortable just saying. I went to a free clinic type thing and they don't to transvaginal ultrasounds so they make you have your bladder full. Regular doctors usually don't, since early on they do transvaginal ones, but you do have to do a urine test every time you go to a regular doctor, so she wasn't wrong either on that.

Oh yeah my sister was telling me that.. especially in our area they do it because 1 in 4 babies born everyday in our area is born addicted to heroin. our hospital even has a special area for all of the babies born addicted going thru withdrawals.. it's so sad.

to check the cervix. it can only be checked with a full bladder. mine wasn't full and had to wait for it to fill back up before they could check it

My u/s tech said it was because with a fuller bladder it lifts everything up so it's easier to see but no need for a full bladder anymore she said (almost 15wks) cause baby is big enough to see .
