At my last couple baby check ups they have said that my baby is measuring small, like a week behind. They've scheduled me an ultrasound for Friday to check up on her. Just wondering if anyone else has had any experience with this. They didn't seem super worried, but of course I worry about everything when it comes to the baby lol.
My doctor said measuring your belly with a measuring tape is super unreliable. He also said measuring two weeks behind or two weeks big is normal. I just had a growth scan and my baby girl measures at the 12 percentile. She is healthy just small they said. Probably due to genetics. She is classified as an uncomplicated small baby. Also the farther along you are the less accurate ultrasounds are too. The most important thing is that your placenta is functioning correctly. @abwheeler7
Yea her head being low was one of the things she told me could be why she's measuring smaller. I am excited for my ultrasound to get to see her again :)
At my 36 week appt, my doctor said I was measuring more like 34, but not to worry. And last week at my 38 week appt She seemed a little more concerned so she did an ultrasound and said she is right on track but my belly was measuring small because her head is so low. I think it's fairly common:)
It's normal. I'm 39 weeks, my belly measures 33 weeks, and my baby measures 38 weeks when we checked by ultrasound.
My boy weighs less than he is supposed to at 19 weeks but they weren't too worried either so keep your head up
