Anyone currently have, or considering purchasing the Owlet Baby Monitor? It's 249.00 and monitors the baby's vitals. I want to purchase, but I'm not sure if it's really necessary, vs a video monitor.

It really makes it so much more stressful!

Unless you've had a nicu baby, I say don't even worry about things like that. I have a 29 weeker and I wouldn't have bought this. I have heard from other preemie moms that they work, but unless your baby needs it, I wouldn't bother with it.

@xaviermom1221, Wow, yeah that doesn't sound too promising. I would probably have an anxiety attack if it malfunctioned. And for 249.00 I feel like it shouldn't have any issues. Thanks for that info!!

Personally I wouldn't get it because I had one for a week and every time it slipped loose or lost signal it gave the scariest alarm sound and you honestly don't know what to do with yourself. A brand new newborn is super super scary, like your not going to sleep the first week because your going to be so scared but adding this in was hell for me because I would like almost pass out when it got kicked off and told me the baby had 0 oxygen 😒😭

I thought about getting one but I would like to hear from someone who owns one before I buy.
