When do you get checked for dialation? I'm almost 40 weeks along now and the only time I've ever been checked was when I was getting a swab and they noticed I was dialated

i asked to get check. only got checked once say 38w.
depends on your doctor. mine never checked for dilation.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
