I did blood test at 12 weeks and they called me at 13 weeks and told me what I was having and went a few weeks ago and had ultrasound confirming that she is a girl. My insurance covered it and it's a test that can be to determine downs and also gender.

nope. at an ob office they'll tell you that though. they generally check round 18-20 weeks. but I went to a private ultrasound studio and found out the gender of my baby at 15 weeks. found out it was a boy. at 20 weeks when we did the gender check. he was indeed still a boy. and Thursday at 28w4d. she confirmed he was still indeed a boy. Lmao.

I know there are places to go where they can detect what it is early, I just didn't want to have to pay out of pocket for it because the only place I know of around here, you have to. But I figured at the regular OB they wouldn't tell me until around 18 weeks. But I'm so impatient! Lol

yeah. we paid out of pocket. but it was money well worth spent for us bc we got the gender, prenatal massage for me, and a disc of the ultrasound pictures that also had the videos of him moving around. but that's just our studio here where I live. IDK about how other places go about theirs. I was patient. but everyone else just HAD to know. I didnt even get to find out until that night bc my boyfriend's mom wanted to be the only one who knew and wanted to reveal it. and she paid for it. so... we kinda had no choice but to go with it. lol.
