QUESTION:
My youngest is about to turn 2 this month and we saved ALL of her things in case we were to have another little girl. Well according to the Panorana test we are having a boy. I guess we will be passing on her clothes to a family member who has a little girl. But as far as the the other items go such as car seat, pack and play, strollers and things like that we purchased items that were pink and have butterflies on them. Basically they are very obviously girl items. Husband things there's nothing wrong with still using them for the new baby. I want to buy new things with boy colors or neutral colors. Plus it's gonna irritate me when people automatically assume that we have a girl because of the colors because most newborns you can't tell if they are a boy or girl except for the way you dress them. Am I tripping? What are your thoughts? How would you handle things?
I agree with @mami1212 but for the sake of everyone else in public saying "aw look at the little girl" I'd get new "boy" things! or at least neutral color things, maybe sell what you have to someone that needs it, even if you sell them cheap it can go towards new things.
If you want you can keep them and just go to babies r us and purchase neutral color liners to change it out so you dont have to buy all new big items..
well this is my opinion I actually agree with your husband I see nothing wrong with using the girls items for a boy... I believe in there is no such thing as boys or girls colors or items.... but if you don't feel comfortable then I would say keep like 2 items and sell the rest and get neutral items
well if your having a boy yhu should buy neutral color things cuz yhu don't want anyone mistake your bby as a girl but good luck I would say give all the girl stuff to a family member & start fresh getting boy things
The thing that go in public. I.e. Stroller and car seat. You can purchase covers. And there are some really cute ones on etsy.
