My baby is 15 wks.ive been using a nipple shield since birth up until jan 1.my baby likes to snack.and since im not using the shield,my nipples hurt all the time.sometimes they feel like they are burning.i use it every now and then but it still hurts.today it felt like he had a sharp tooth and was biting down into my nipple..any advice??

Only thing that has helped some with me is nipple cream I use Nursing Care Lanolin Free Nipple Butter. My son is 8 weeks old as of yesterday and just started nuring without a shield last week feels like he is trying to rip them off

@atlas, it does! ive tried puttin milk on it but it seems like it doesnt help.i guess cause he's not on a 2-3 hr schedule..ill have to get some cream

nope try the cream it least takes some of it away if not all our nipples just have to get used to it before the shield was protecting them
