I went to the hospital Friday early morning and along with a few other things the doctor said I had a uti (I hear they are very common in pregnant women) we'll the last two days my Virgina has been so irritated, red, swollen, and itchy. I had my boyfriend take a picture today because I wanted to know if anything looked out of place and there were white dots inside the lips. There is also this awful smell and even a shower doesn't help. I called my doctor and scheduled an appointment for this Thursday.
1) has anyone ever had this and if so what the hell is it.?!
2) how can I stop the itch cause it's driving me insane
3) should I be worried

im not a professional, but i think it could be yeast. its also a common infection in pregnant women. i had it once with a previous pregnancy. shouldnt harm baby, and your doctor will get you taken care of if it is.
thats the only thing that comes to mind.

@sophiasmum, is there anything I can do to stop the itch until the mean time.? I don't itch it but it's so hard not too.

Sounds like a yeast infection. You will be ok. Try not to worry.

It does sound like a yeast infection, and you can buy over the counter treatments that are safe during pregnancy, like Monistat.

try an otc cream. i did that because i had to wait two days to get to the doc.
other than that theres not a whole lot until your doc gets a look.

most likely yeast infection, I've had that plantly of times. the doc just gave me cream to put on it. it helps a lot. it stops the itch .

Sometimes the medicine for uti causes yeast infection. I know this sounds crazy but if you mix a tbsp of baking soda in with a little glass of warm water then drink it, it will help instantly. I had to do it because I had a really bad one.

Sometimes when you take an antibiotic it gives you a yeast infection
