So I'm 35 weeks today, my doctor just told me I'm one centimeter dilated and 60 to 70% effaced. my doctor also told me that she could feel the baby's head and that she didn't think that I would carry to 40 weeks, she says by the looks of it I could be having our baby at 38 weeks. my doctor also told me I could walk and have sex and do other things to help get the labor going if I wanted to. I'm a first time mom so this means I'm getting close to the finish line right ladies? I'm just so nervous

Could be. But my doctor told me at 36 weeks that I was a loose 1, almost 2cm, and 50%, and that baby's head was close to as low as it could be with out actually pushing her out. She didn't think I would make it to the next appointment, but I did, and here I am at 39 weeks still waiting, lol. I was still only at a loose 2cm and only effaced to 70% at my appointment last Thursday. I think it all depends on baby and your body.
