How old were your LOs when you started them on rice cereal. Why did you start them on it. And did you mix it in their bottles or spoon feed!? My LO is 6 weeks old and never seems satisfied or eats so much milk trying to get full that he just pukes it back up. He's almost been throwing up really thick throw up almost every feeding the last 2 days!

I tried it with a bottle but she wouldn't take it so I spoon fed her and had no problem with it.

I honestly started him on rice cereal at 6 or 7 weeks old and he did great. Then he starting eating cereal with a spoon around 3 months and by 4 months he has started baby food. He has never been sick-knock on wood and is a chunky smiley little thing. I'm 100% supportive of "mommy knows best" and so is his pediatrician, there are so many conflicts but I feel like I know my baby best. I haven't spend any time away from him in 5 months. Whereas his doctor sees him every 2 months. If you do decide to do so then just start out slow and let them get used to it. It's really a breeze now.

@rebeccaa_tokiko, did you put it in her bottle or spoon feed it to her?

My doctor didn't want me feeding my daughter cereal or any of that until she was 4 months but honestly at 2 months I felt she was ready so I started her on it and she's healthy and as happy as can be.

@bryaxtonsmommy, there are so many conflicts with parenting!!!! My pedi told me if he's constipated give him prune juice. Then my dad said don't do that he will poop to much and become dehydrated so just to give him 1-2oz of water. Then my dad said start rice cereal but his pedi says it's too soon!!!! So much conflict! Even tho I've talked to lots of people about the whole rice cereal and no one said anything about it harming their baby!!! The biggest conflict with that is spoon feeding it or bottle feeding it and everyone started their babies at a wide range of ages from 2 weeks old and up!!

Yeah my doctor said that normally they don't want to start them but every baby is different. If you feel comfortable starting then I would say try it. A friend of mine started her baby a week early. Which was too early, or so I thought but now she is a healthy, happy little 4 year old. I had the support of my doctor though. Whatever you honestly think I would go with. You'll make the right decision. Mothers intuition is best! Good luck ☺️

@mamajustice, @bryaxtonsmommy @deedydeemommy @rebeccaa_tokiko I talked to my sons Pedi today and he said not to until at least 4 months. But he's seriously so hungry all the time and if I let him binge drink formula like he wants he makes himself so sick that he throws up. Like 1/2oz at a time!!!!!

My baby started getting when she was 2 months. she never seemed to be satisfied with a bottle she always wanted more and when I started feeding her cereal she stayed fuller for longer and wasn't always wanting a bottle.

I think my baby was 3 weeks old when we started him on cereal. He would drink a whole can of formula in a day and would spit up most of it but would never seem satisfied. My doctor was really helpful and supportive. Anytime your baby isn't getting enough from his milk I think it would be okay. My son never had a problem with it. I would do a teaspoon of rice cereal for every 2 ounces of formula or milk.

No cereal until 6 months! He may seem like he's puking it all back up, but he's not. As long as he's meeting diaper count and gaining weight, he's fine mama 😊
