Oooooooh. I was on the Depo Provera shot too. And afterward my period was all messed up. Didn't get a period the whole time I was on the shot then when I came off of it I never had a regular cycle again. The doctors ended up inducing a period in me because women are supposed to bleed ideally every three months at least before menopause. Go to the doctor. I ended up getting diagnosed with PCOS. Not a big deal, but it would answer to your irregularity.

That damn shot. It took me so long to get my period back regularly and even longer to successfully carry a baby. Good luck!

I was on the depo shot for several years as well and I had my last shot in March of 2015. My cycles are just now coming back and I have been trying to concieve since June when it ran out. I think it's absolutely awful that doctors don't tell you more about how long the shot actually stays in your system. I always thought in three months it would be out of my system and I could easily get pregnant but that is definitely not the case.

yea I hate that shot. it did the same thing to me. but luckily this time around I didn't go back and get it and we got pregnant 5 months after, with twins:) I really didn't know how long it was gonna take. it can take 6 months to a year. sometimes longer to get pregnant again. it takes awhile for the shot to wear off. longer then 3 months. I definitely wouldn't get it again. and just wait for your period to turn back to normal. it may take a few tries, but eventually you will get pregnant when its meant to happen.
