Has anyone have a repeat c-section??I'm scheduled for one Feb12th and kind of nervous because I don't know what to expect!
omg wow I didn't know that! I was seeing a mid wife a first and she was fine with me have vbac but once I got farther along and the seen that I had a c-section previously that's when they really started to push that I have a repeat! but I'm def. going to talk with my doctor about it because I didn't know all of that
most doctors push for a repeat because it's easier. it's actually hard to find one willing to do a VBAC. it's just something you have to push for. my doctor isn't really for it either but I told him my baby my delivery. I at least want to try, so when he went to schedule my repeat c-section I just politely declined, so he said ok we will see what you look like closers to 39 weeks.
the benefits of a VBAC are so many to count. you can have more children in the long run and less likely to need a hysterectomy or have your tunes tied without your consent (yes they do that)
oh okay I was thinking about that as well but my doc suggested it will just be better and less complicated to do a repeat but I'm still really undecided @shurkusmomma
yea my sister went for a repeat c-section and they tied her tunes right then and there because they didn't think she could handle another pregnancy. they didn't even tell her until after. she's seeing another doctor now who is trying to reverse it because her uterus is healthy enough for another. but they aren't hopeful... the average. c-section most mothers can have is only 3! that just doesn't sit well with me. the risk of uterine rupture in a VBAC is less than 1%
