@donna514, my bby 3 months he has been up since last night crying he has a ear infection I gave him I real little bit so he cn get some sleep n he have antibiotics from the doctor... I'm pretty sure it wnt kill him I just was wondering
@quishana, when my daughter had an ear infection that age too. I did 2 small things that helped her out. not saying you have to do this but just advice. I took a sock and put a bit of rice in it, like a small hand full, and placed it in the microwave for 30 then put a towel around it and let her rest her ear on the sock til it got cold and repeated to other ear. the heat seemed to help relieved the pain a bit. second thing I did was cuddled her upright and slept with her. she wouldn't sleep in her crib for about 2 days until the antibiotics started to really kick in. I also was given permission to use medicine but she gave me a chart to follow based on her weight and dosage. but that advice I would talk to your doctor for.
my mamaw use to blow smoke in my ear. she swore by it and it worked. I know it's a huge thing to smoke around your kids but we lived through it she's ancient (75years old) and she still does it to us and I'm 20. I love old remedies.
@quishana, no problem. it all trial and error. my mom came up with the rice idea and for my daughter she liked it. but every baby is different and it's painful to see them hurt but don't worry just know you're trying all you can to try and help your little man out. :)
melatonin drops help well for babies to sleep also. the only remedy we ever used was the smoke in the ear or even try blowing just hot air in the ear to sooth it helps!

Do not give your child Benadryl unless your child's pediatrician has instructed that you do so.
