Need advice. This is my first child. I only want my husband there when I give birth and also only be him after the baby is born. How did you break it to family that they would not be able to see the baby right after? I really want this time just to be for our little family. Please tell me your experiences.
the hospital will be off limits just like @mommyholly said @dnhmommy3
We just told everyone we don't want anyone to be there at that time, it's a moment for us to have together. With my first child everyone and their mothers, literally, walked in without invitation or warning and I hated it, and so many people fought over who was going to be in the delivery room. In ended up just being my fiancé and best friend, but after and before birth so many people were in and out and there without even being asked to come. I hated it, and to show everyone I'm not playing this time, and do not wish for anyone to be there unless asked, I'm being privately listed at my hospital, so only people that know the password I set up are allowed. obviously you don't have to go that route, but some people in my family don't get the word no. I'd just kindly explain that you'd like that moment between you and your husband right then and they'll have plenty of time to see the baby after.
@callumsmommy, hell get his first shots within a few hours and his first full set at two months
I honestly would just ask if they could respect your wishes because it's your first child& you want it to just be you & your husband.
I dont want them there at all i dont want anyone around him until he's had shots@dnhmommy3 :(
@mommyholly, @callumsmommy I just simply told the families that no one would see the baby til at least two hours after we were moved to our postpartum room my sister was in the waiting room for most of my.labor and still wasnt allowed til hours later. didnt have too much fuss from the families
Girl yes and aunts, my man's family is who I'm worried about they like to play pass the new born and I'm not okay with that one of his aunts told me they'd come get my son whenever they felt like it @mommyholly
@callumsmommy, of course! Hopefully we get some good experiences. I already feel like the grandmas will be freaking out.
Is it rude to not want anyone at the hospital?
I was just informed that my MIL wants to be waiting at the hospital so as soon as I pop out the baby she can rush in to be with the baby. I am really a private person and dont really want anyone at the hospital when I give birth (except my husband). I was planning on calling all the family to come to the hospital once I was all cleaned up and ready for visitors. Am I being rude? How do I tell them I dont want visitors a minute after pushing out...
IF WHEN I HAVE MY BABY I DONT WANT MY BD OR HIS FAMILY TO EVER C HER WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO???
Me and my hubby have decided that after our daughter is born we want to help a family out and carry their little one. I have always wanted to help a family that can’t have their own kids.
Trigger. Lost baby
Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?
My hospital has a list. If yah ain't on it, yah ain't getting in. But don't be shy about telling people no. I just said "I will have an open house once my hubby and I have gotten settled back home and I've gotten some rest."
