OK ladies.. I want to breastfeed. I am looking for alternatives to lanolin, as I'm allergic. Any ideas? I plan on asking at my breastfeeding class as well.

They should have some non lanolin nipple butter next to the lanolin. I bought the first year's nipple cream and I liked it. its in yellow packaging. Its not 100% necessary though. You could just use breastmilk to put on your nipples if they're chapped.

Express a little breastmilk and run it into the nipple. I don't have a lanolin allergy, I just don't like it.

Coconut oil! That's what I plan to use. Natural and safe if any gets in baby's mouth.
