My baby is 8 months and we'll be getting a car soon. She still has her infant car seat. When do I need to switch her out? She still is strapped in it when we go for a stroller ride.

You can whenever you want to. On the side of her car seat will say how tall or heavy it can hold before you switch mine was 30lbs don't remember the height. I switched at 4months 14lbs 22inch long. He still had time but didn't like the car seat but loves his new one

I'll see what it says. But she's 18 pounds and 24 in long. @mel0011

I think she has more time in that one but if she's to long but still isn't heavy enough you have to change her or the other way around. The convertible ones go from 5lbs-4yrs old (age is roughly depends on the child) so you can change her when your ready. My mom bought my little brother home in the convertible one it's ok for new borns as long as it's refacing

I have my 8 month old in a convertible carseat already. still rear facing of course, but as soon as I was confident in him hilding his head up, we switched.
