BIRTH STORY : I was 39 weeks and had a scheduled induction for September 22, 2015 due to my cervix still not low and softened and I had a bad gallbladder during my pregnancy. I had a scheduled induction at 7:30am on September 22, 2015. I had got there at 7:00 am because I was so nervous and excited to finally meet my baby girl. So my fiancée and I got up to the L&D floor, they got us settled into a room and started cervitec I think it was called. They did about 3 rounds of that and at that point I was having pretty steady contractions but they weren't showing up on the monitor because my Mom said I was having back labor the way I explained it. Well since my contractions weren't showing up on the monitor and they said I wasn't having steady contractions ( which I was they were just all in my back )they kept shoving cervitec in me making my contractions outrageously strong. Well at about 2:00am on September 23, 2015 my water broke. So my nurse came in and checked me and couldn't believe that my water broke at just BARELY 1 cm. Well I blame it on shoving so much induction medicine in me when I didn't need it. Labor progressed pretty quickly after that. I was able to get an epidural at about 10:00am that morning and after 44 hours of labor and only 2 pushes and an episiotomy my baby girl Madison Paige was born at 2:16 pm weighing 7 lbs 7 oz and 20 inches long. Every second of my 44 hour labor was without question worth it. She is my absolute world. She has now made my life worth living and has motivated me to better myself for not only myself but her also. <3
