My boyfriend and I really need to quit eating out... But that's hard when my landlord won't fix the plumbing in our house. We can't use the kitchen sink or guest bathroom, so we can't do the dishes... We've been eating cereal out of red solo cups and reusing spoons. The struggle is so real.

you may wanna look up the guide lines for your state on that. it doesn't sound too right. if it's their place they should be fixing the plumbing. but sounds like they're under the impression that since you pay utilities that you need to fix it yourself.
@misskaecolletto, we just pay the utilities. They desperately wanted someone to live in this extra house they have because it's been sitting empty for 5 years.

@carlyann00, family or not. if anyone finds out hes violating his duties as a landlord. it won't be pretty. especially if you literally have signed a lease through them
@carlyann00, so what you have a baby that's about to be due sometimes you have to take it there I understand the family situation and you don't wanna burn bridges but if someone else catches on to you and plumbing issues because people are spikeful they will report you and then that'll be a big mess for you I've seen this kind of stuff happen before

right. we never have got water. being pregnant I can't do dishes and anytime he is home to help we don't have got water. so no baths or dishes. I went and bought Styrofoam bowls and plates bc we can't do dishes and can never predict when we have water

Sounds like they're doing you a favor letting you stay there for free. You'll probably need to get it fixed yourself.
