So someone else posted about this, but seriously would it be so bad to let my baby sleep on his tummy? He can pick his head up and turn it over himself. He's gotten to where the only way he'll sleep is laying on my chest on his tummy. He slept for 7 hours straight yesterday on my chest! He usually gets up every 2! I wouldn't mind holding him every night except for the fact when I'm holding him I have to sleep on the couch cause my boyfriend sleeps deep and would possibly hurt him in his sleep if I stayed in the bed.

Depending on how old your baby is. They recommend your baby sleeping on their back to prevent soda. My son is 6 months and roles himself over but his risk for sids is greatly reduced after 6 months. As a parent, only you can decide what's best for your baby.

My son's pediatrician said to wait until they can flip from their back to their stomach and from their stomach to their back all on their own regularly before allowing them to sleep on their stomach. It sucks because my itty bitty sleeps well on his stomach but he's not ready yet.

I used to have the same problem... sofa & all. try swaddling, bc it's truly safer for newborns to be on the back with their heads turned to the side. but swaddle helps.

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

Got home around 11... washed lil man up and made him a bottle... asked my husband to get off his phone and help me put him to sleep... as soon as I did, my husband sat on the couch and fell right to sleep with Zach in his arms... I walked over to him and picked Zach up and he has to nerve to jump awake talking about I scared him because he thought he dropped Zach... this is why I’ve stopped asking him to hold him... he is irresponsible... I ended up setting up Zach’s stand up floor lamp, rearranging his room, making him a late night/early morning bottle, rocking him to sleep in his car seat and then moving him to his room all while my husband was knocked out in the living room.... I swear I feel like a single mother

How can a man sleep through his sons crying? Every night I swear my husband doesn't hear my son waking up or screaming for his bottle, or how does a man forget his son is in the bed next to him? I literally have to tell him every time be careful because he will roll over next to him. That's why my son can't sleep with us. He sleeps in his bassinet next to me but I have to keep him up after his feedings because of reflux so it's easier to prop him up on pillows next to me in the bed while I pump milk, but this man is so careless, a mother hears every peep and would never forget her baby is next to her. I don't get it.

@itsamemario, you deleted your post before I could hit send but this is my comment: I don’t know if this answers your question but this is my answer. My son is 7 and he knows race and color. Why? Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk outside without this information. Children of color are being targeted and killed too. It’s not just adults. I let my son know we treat everyone equally and with respect. I let him know that we love everyone for their differences. In every aspect. Color, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual preference we love everyone.
